Hard Disk Drive Motor Test

ADE capacitance gauges are used to make a variety of critical measurements to test high performance hard disk drive motors, including synchronous error motion (repeatable run out), asynchronous error motion (non-repeatable run out) and fly height.

ADE manufactures a line of special high bandwidth, ultra low noise capacitive gauges and probes specifically for use in motor testing applications. These probes are designed to maximize sensor area relative to the measurement target, in order to minimize measurement noise.

Our SpinCheck HR is a complete motor measurement system which includes software with improved data acquisition performance with a complete menu of time and frequency based measurements. Graphing and data logging capabilities are included.
